About Us

Trinity Preschool was started by Mr. Terry Kulat and his wife, Diane, as a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle in 1974. Our school, which then included Day Care, Preschool and Kindergarten was selected by the Seibert Foundation as a model school.

Trinity became the first Christian Preschool Center in the Northern Illinois District, and included morning classes for 3 and 4 year olds. Soon after, it also served Kindergarten-aged children.  An outgrowth of the Day Care program was the Helpmates – Christian Support Group for divorced, widowed, and separated adults. This program has helped over 100,00 people throughout a 28 year period of ministry.
 

In 1991, Trinity was awarded the inaugural $5,000 Good Samaritan Grant by CBS, citing Trinity as an outstanding Center that improves the quality of life in our community.  Diane Kulat received the DuPage Association for the Education of Young Children's Outstanding Child Care Provider award in Fall of 1996. That same year, the Center was listed in Midwest Living Magazine's Best of the West Private Schools section.
 

Trinity teachers are qualified professionals with a minimum of a B.A. degree in Education, Early Childhood credits, some continuing through a Master's Degree. Each completes a minimum of 16 hours in-service credit per year for professional growth. Our teachers are the most important element in your child's learning environment. Trinity Center is well known for its low staff turnover. Our teachers view their position, not as a "job", but as a ministry to encourage your child's development.
 

Throughout the years, Trinity has continued to meet the needs of families and the educational needs of young children. Known for its stable staff, Christian values, and excellent early childhood curricula, it currently offers morning or afternoon 2 or 3 day sessions for 3’s, and 2, 3, or 4 day sessions for 4’s including Pre-K and Jr. K curriculums.
